BAD GIRL - GIRLS GENERATION
“Madonna,” the Japanese debut song of girl group Secret was released on August 3rd, and ranked 9th in one day before climbing to 7th place and then remaining among the top ten for the next five days.
The Oricon Weekly Chart, released on August 10th, showed that “Madonna” had recorded 13,124 copies in sales, and thus obtained an outstanding result as the 9th best song.
After holding their showcase in July in Tokyo, Secret has gained lots of interest and popularity in Japan as the next favored Korean girl group. Secret, like 2PM and MBLAQ, showed that their partnership with Sony Music was beneficial to Korean groups.
TS Entertainment, Secret’s agency stated, “Rather than focusing on seemingly colorful performances, Secret will show their well-honed singing abilities with high quality music.”
Secret has participated in activities in Korea for the past two years, producing a series of hit songs such as “Magic,” “Madonna,” and “Shy Boy,” which seemed to serve as the foundation for expanding their successful activities in Japan. Secret is currently focusing on promoting in Japan for a little while.
